In gold beneficiation, commonly used gold beneficiation agents include flotation agents, cyaniding agents, gravity separation agents, and thermal separation agents. These agents are selected based on the properties of the ore and the requirements of the beneficiation process.

Flotation

In flotation, gold beneficiation agents are used as flotation components. The ore is separated into a gold-containing slurry through physical and chemical methods. Then, gold particles are separated from the slurry using flotation agent froth, forming gold froth. The gold froth is skimmed off and converted into gold concentrate.

Cyanidation

In cyanidation, gold beneficiation agents are used as cyaniding agents, mainly for extracting gold from low-grade ores. It is particularly suitable for gold extraction from exposed gold mines. After the cyaniding agent is mixed with the slurry, gold ions are dissolved and react with the cyaniding agent to form stable gold cyanide ions, which are then reduced to gold particles.

Gravity Separation

In gravity separation, gold beneficiation agents are used as gravity separation agents. After physical processing, gold can be separated from the ore simply by gravity separation due to its high density.

Thermal Separation

In thermal separation, gold beneficiation agents are used, primarily to extract hard ores containing pyrite and chalcopyrite. After heat treatment, some impurities in the ore are oxidized or sublimated, thereby concentrating the gold minerals at high temperatures.
